Warm and Cold Roof

Cold Roof

The Attic space is used for ventilation.

The principal thermal insulation is placed at or immediately above the ceiling, resulting in the roof covering and structural deck being substantially colder in winter than the interior of the building. The structural support will typically bridge between the high and low temperature zones of the construction. It is very difficult to insulate a cold roof system to current mandatory levels, without increasing the risk of condensation accumulation within the system.

Warm Roof

The insulation is between the Rafters and we need to build an proper ventilation space between insulation and roofing Material.

The principal thermal insulation is placed immediately below the roof covering, resulting in the structural deck and support being at a temperature close to that of the interior of the building.

Metal Roofing Advantages

Metal roofing has many advantages. A few are listed below

Maintenance:

A properly installed metal roof system is virtually maintenance free for the lifetime of the roof.

Efficiency:

Due to advanced coatings and high reflectivity, metal roofing is energy efficient and will save you money on heating and air conditioning costs.
Application

Metal roofing can be installed directly over existing roofs using felt paper or wood lathing, bringing significant savings in both time and labor, in addition to eliminating the tremendous disposal problems associated with asphalt shingles.

Strength:

Metal roofing does not warp, split or crack and is not affected by mildew, rot, termites and pests.

Weight:

Metal roofing weighs less than most other roof materials, translating to lower transportation costs as well as construction costs.
Weather Resistant

Properly installed metal roofing systems will withstand intense weather (high winds, hail, snow and rain) far better than any other roofing material.

Non-Combustible:

Metal roofing systems carry fire ratings that can reduce the homeowner's overall insurance rate.

Life Expectancy:

A quality metal roof should last the lifetime of the owner.

Aesthetics:

Metal roofing is beautiful as well as durable and is available in many different styles, configurations, and colors to fit diverse architectural requirements and tastes.

Metal Roofing VS. other Materials.

Asphalt or Fiberglass Shingles:

Over the years, one of the most popular roofing materials has been the asphalt shingle-a piece of felt or fiberglass that is covered in tar and then tiny small stones are literally glued onto the surface.

However, over time your roof loses all its protection due to worn off stones and causes ongoing deterioration of the shingles, leading to leaks and eventual structural damage.

Most Asphalt or Fiberglass Roofs need to be replaced after 10 to 15 Years of life.
Metal lasts a life time.

Wood Roofs:

Another type of roofing material that wears out and has to be repeatedly replaced is cedar shakes or shingles. A roof made from wood requires a tremendous amount of maintenance, upkeep, time, and costly expenses. Over time, the roof becomes unsightly and the decay will be accelerated which leads to premature roof failure.
